Freedom Isn't Gay
The CA Broadcasters Association is asking for the public to submit questions to be asked to gubernatorial candidates during the debates. Here's mine:
I have been with my partner for five years, during which time we've supported each other and our families, have been productive members of our community, and have built a life together. Why is it that, simply because we're both men, we don't deserve the freedom to call each other "husband"?
Lest this question freak out my "roommate," note that I didn't say that we would... just that it would be nice to be able to do so if we wanted to.
